In einem gemeinsamen Projekt mit dem Verein „Wald für die Welt“ nähern sich Studierende und Lehrende der HKS Ottersberg unterschiedlichen Wald- und Moorflächen in der Umgebung der Hochschule an. Angestrebt ist eine langfristige Zusammenarbeit, um auf spielerische und experimentelle Weise den öffentlichen Raum und die etwaige Wirkmächtigkeit der eigenen künstlerischen Praxis zu erkunden. In einer Serie von gemeinsamen Aktionen, Ausflügen und Workshops werden verschiedene Zugangsweisen erprobt und dabei weitläufige Themenfelder und Begrifflichkeiten wie beispielsweise Selbstorganisation, Nachhaltigkeit, künstlerische Infrastruktur, kollektive Prozesse, wechselseitige Durchdringungs- und Abhängigkeitsverhältnisse oder diverse Vorstellungen, Phantasmen, Utopien und Konzepte von Natur sowie deren Verhältnis zur eigenen Position befragt und durchquert. Das Projekt ist offen für gemeinsame Entwicklungen und weitere Überlegungen. Stille Beobachtungen und skizzenhafte Notationen sind dabei ebenso willkommen wie temporäre Installationen, strukturelle Planspiele oder gemeinschaftliche Performances.

MAKING INFRASTRUCTURE (since 2026)
In a joint project with the organization “Wald für die Welt,” students and faculty at HKS Ottersberg are exploring various forest and marshland areas in the vicinity of the university. The goal is to establish a long-term collaboration that allows participants to explore public space and the potential impact of the arts in a playful and experimental way. Through a series of collaborative actions, excursions, and workshops, various approaches are tested, while broad thematic fields and concepts—such as self-organization, sustainability, artistic infrastructure, collective processes, interdependent and reciprocal relationships, or diverse ideas, fantasies, utopias, and concepts of nature, as well as their relationship to each participant's own position—are examined and traversed. The project is open to collaborative developments and further reflections. Quiet observations and sketches are just as welcome as temporary installations, strategic role-playing games, or collaborative performances.
